Aerobel has produced several productivity-enhancing add-on-libraries/modules. These provide further functionality to Centric's COTS software tools. Aerobel's add-on libraries/modules include:
AeroCADTM to generate 3D models automatically from CAD data in DXF format
WayMakerTM to build semi-automatically line features such as roads/railways/rivers (including margin areas such as hedges & regular features such as street lights) onto an existing DWB database. This tool achieves smooth features in the near-field and it switches LoDs seamlessly in order to achieve maximum realtime performance
GroundHogTM to provide optimised compiled code for "intelligent" terrain-following (eg for driving under bridges and crossing shallow rivers). Realtime modifications to the terrain database are reflected in GroundHog's terrain-following and thus the own vehicle is perturbed by surface features and obstructed by hard obstacles
FireFightTM to provide battle-induced effects code for dust from vehicle tracks, trails from aircraft and muzzle blast, explosions/fires, smoke & craters from munitions, 'downed' helicopters, killed vehicles & damaged buildings. Since these effects are demanding on the IG, it automatically culls out-of-view effects. It also enables linear objects (eg barriers and tracks) to be added dynamically to the terrain database (ie during an exercise). Finally, it handles the destruction of objects (eg buildings & aerials).
